Before Anxiety Centre, I was an absolute mess. I am a totally different person because of the work I did with Stacey.

Before Anxiety Centre, I was an absolute mess. I found myself in the middle of an anxiety disorder that no one could seem to help me get out of. The therapists I saw before Stacey were all focused on “talk therapy”. They asked how I felt and what I experienced. But when it came to an actual solution for dealing with intrusive thoughts, chronic feelings of panic, everything else, they completely fell flat.

That is the main difference between Anxiety Centre and everyone else. They don’t just talk about mental health issues. They teach you how to become mentally healthy. They give you a complete perspective of how anxiety operates in the mind, heart, and spirit, and tools to learn how to manage stress and rid yourself of negative thinking.

They don’t offer you a band aid to temporarily make you feel better. It’s actually a lot like putting alcohol on a wound. The work is tough and it’s painful. At first, it doesn’t seem like it’s working but you have to trust the process and the method. Once you do, you see the deep rooted “infection” of negative self-talk, trauma, and so on gets cleared out.

But it doesn’t stop there. Stacey taught me more than how to think positively about myself. He taught me how to love myself and how to defend myself when the lies from my past come back to bother me again.

I am a totally different person because of the work I did with Stacey over the course of two years. I know I am valuable, loved, and can live free of chronic symptoms of anxiety.

That is worth more to me than I’ll ever be able to explain.

Thank you, Stacey. Thank you, Jim, and Marilyn. And thank you most to Jesus Christ for bringing me to these amazing people who were exactly what I needed to finally learn to live free.

The combination of good self-help information and working with an experienced anxiety disorder therapist, coach, or counselor is the most effective way to address anxiety and its many symptoms. Until the core causes of anxiety are addressed – which we call the underlying factors of anxiety – a struggle with anxiety unwellness can return again and again. Dealing with the underlying factors of anxiety is the best way to address problematic anxiety.
