I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your team for all the support and reassurance I gained from your website during a difficult time last year.
About 18 months ago I started getting symptoms I’d never experienced before (I’m 49) which included muscle twitching all over my body, tingling sensations, body jolts, jerking awake at night, seeing stars, distorted vision, pins and needles, vibration sensations and numbness in my feet. As one symptom subsided, another one seemed to start which was quite unsettling.
I saw a consultant neurologist and had a number of tests which all came back normal which was a big relief. The consultant couldn’t explain why I had these sensations but was happy that they were nothing to worry about. Twelve months on and the symptoms have now disappeared or are so minor I don’t give them a second thought.
I’ve struggled with work related stress and anxiety for a number of years and I’m convinced my issues were a result of this, with the symptoms starting a couple of months after a particularly difficult time at work.
During this time, your website was the only place I could find which explained the link between chronic stress/anxiety and the symptoms I was experiencing. Reading your material reassured me massively at a time when I really needed it, reducing my anxiety and helping my recovery.
