I decided to seek anxiety counselling through the Anxiety Centre in May of 2008 and it was the best decision I could have made. Stacey is a true professional who has "been there". He is easy to talk to and listens for what the real issues are. Then we work together to address them.
I feel as though Stacey and I are true partners in my recovery. I honestly don't think I would be feeling as well as I do without him. Thank you Stacey, and the Anxiety Centre, for making my life a whole lot happier, and me a whole lot healthier!
The combination of good self-help information and working with an experienced anxiety disorder therapist is the most effective way to address anxiety disorder and its many symptoms. Until the core causes of anxiety are addressed - the underlying factors that motivate apprehensive behavior - a struggle with anxiety disorder can return again and again. Identifying and successfully addressing anxiety's underlying factors is the best way to overcome problematic anxiety.
