I want to thank you for all the work you do at AnxietyCentre.com.
About two weeks ago I wrapped up about a year and a half of counseling with Brian Sellers. My story is pretty typical: through a series of stressful situations and a potential health scare, I began to experience sensations and symptoms of anxiety (tingling, chest pains, double vision, panic attacks, etc.). After trying a couple of local counselors who quickly recommended a lifetime of meds, my wife found your site during a particularly rough spot. I followed your guidance for nearly a year and made some good progress but still was plagued with a deep sense of all still not being well. At that point, I decided to talk with one of your counselors.
My time with Brian has been a time of constant encouragement from day one. That he, like all your counselors, have dealt with anxiety meant that I discovered more in a couple of sessions about moving forward than I did from my previous time with general counselors. The difference was day and night as far as effectiveness. Brian's gentle but assured guidance combined with his engaging, laid-back approach calmed me down every time we met. In Brian, I knew I had someone I could trust because he knew his stuff and genuinely cared about how I was doing.
Brian and I are scheduled to chat again in about six months. I know that there will be some cloudy days, but I’m 100% confident that I now know what to do when those times come. That has been the greatest area of growth for me.

The combination of good self-help information and working with an experienced anxiety disorder coach, counselor, or therapist is the most effective way to address anxiety disorder and its many symptoms. Until the core causes of anxiety are addressed - the underlying factors that motivate apprehensive behavior - a struggle with anxiety disorder can return again and again. Identifying and successfully addressing anxiety's underlying factors is the best way to overcome problematic anxiety.
