I am writing this referral in the hopes it will encourage someone who is struggling with anxiety to get the help they need from the Anxietycentre.com.

My journey was a long one, and for many years I fought the idea of getting counseling. I tried a few times but never found anyone who seemed to understand me or the symptoms that frustrated and concerned me so much.

Also, counseling felt like a sign of weakness. I had always prided myself on being able to independently and competently navigate anything life handed to me with courage and a cheerful demeanor. Multiple trips to the emergency room – certain I was having a heart attack or a stroke – in the span of a few months with constant anxiety in between finally convinced me it was time to get help. It was by God's grace I found the Anxietycentre and Sheri Vincent.

The approach Sheri took with me brought some relief fairly quickly because she started by addressing the physical manifestations of my anxiety. Nobody had ever worked with me on these, and they had taken a heavy toll over the years.

As we progressed through the program, my symptoms became less distracting and all-consuming, and this allowed me to focus on healing my brain and redirecting my thought patterns – important steps towards wellness.

Being a dedicated student was important during this time, and Sheri was always my biggest and most compassionate cheerleader.

Anxiety can feel overwhelmingly isolating at times. Although I've always been aware there are many others who struggle with it, it's not an easy topic to bring up and discuss, so those battling it don't always find each other.

One of the lessons I learned in this journey is the importance of being willing to be honest with people. This allows us to help each other find places like the Anxietycentre and counselors like Sheri.

It has been one of my life's greatest blessings to work with her. Her faithful obedience to God answering His call on her life professionally and personally is inspiring.

I am grateful for the friendship we developed, for her wisdom, and for her guidance - all founded on Godly Truths - that led me to this place of peace and for the impact that has had on my family. 

She is truly one in a million – a gifted communicator and counselor.

The combination of good self-help information and working with an experienced anxiety disorder therapist is the most effective way to address anxiety disorder and its many symptoms. Until the core causes of anxiety are addressed - the underlying factors that motivate apprehensive behavior - a struggle with anxiety disorder can return again and again. Identifying and successfully addressing anxiety's underlying factors is the best way to overcome problematic anxiety.
