Panic
Attack Test comments
Most people will experience anxiety and even
a panic attack at some point in their life. As long as you are
a human being, you will encounter some distressing moments that
can cause great stress or fear.
Panic disorder, however, occurs when a person continually
experiences high episodes of anxiety and fear. Often these
intense episodes can cause a person to react with even more
fear causing a vicious “fear cycle”: symptoms=fear=more
symptoms=more fear, and so on.
0 – 20: Normal to mild anxiety or panic
Stress, fear, and worry (anxiety) can contribute to experiencing
panic at this level. While there may be a few episodes of panic,
they generally subside as the stressful, fearful, or worrisome
events are resolved.
21 - 40: Mild to moderate anxiety and panic
When life’s circumstances become distressing, mild to moderate
anxiety and panic can result. When these stressing circumstances
resolve, however, a return to normal and healthy living generally
occurs without the persistence of anxiety and panic.
If you have been experiencing anxiety and panic at this level,
good self-help information can help prevent a further escalation
of anxiety and panic. The members area of our web site contains
excellent information on anxiety and panic.
41 - 60: Moderate panic disorder
If you scored in this category, you most likely have developed
moderate panic disorder. Moderate panic disorder generally
occurs when people become concerned about their health or the
reasons why they are experiencing anxiety symptoms or attacks.
This concern can cause panic disorder to persist.
Self-help information and personal coaching can be very helpful
in resolving panic disorder at this level. Prompt attention should
be taken in order to prevent a further escalation of this condition.
61 - 80: High panic disorder
If you scored in this category, you have panic disorder. Prompt
attention should be taken. While self-help information can
be helpful, you may require the assistance of an anxiety coach
to help you fully resolve your panic condition.
Many people get stuck at this level because they don’t
know how to successfully address it and their fears keep them
trapped in high anxiety and panic.
That’s because those who score in this category generally
have underlying factors that cause anxiety and panic to occur
at this level. And because these underlying factors are
often invisible to the sufferer (they will be different from
person to person), an anxiety coach often is required to help
identify and address them, so that the sufferer can move forward
in his or her recovery.
If you are stuck at this level or haven’t be able to fully
address your panic condition, the assistance of an anxiety coach
can help you remove the obstacles to full and lasting recovery.
81 - 100: Severe panic disorder
If you scored in this category, the help of an anxiety coach
is required. Individuals who score in this category generally
can’t self-help themselves back to lasting normal health.
While they may be able to attain some relief, many can’t
make full recovery on their own because of the underlying factors
associated with their condition.
The good news, however, is that no matter what category you
scored in and contrary to what many believe, panic disorder is
a temporary condition. It is fully reversible.
If you’ve been struggling with panic disorder, don’t
suffer needlessly. There’s no point in suffering for days,
months, or even years when you don’t have to There’s
a great deal you can do to regain your normal and panic-free
life…and naturally.
If you’re stuck, seek the help of an anxiety coach. Their
personal experience and professional assistance can help you
move forward and conquer your anxiety and panic. . . for good!
